    Here’s how you can install the Sublime Text 3 editor in Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS (Trusty Tahr). Sublime Text 3 works very well as a lightweight text editor multi-platform, text editor. It is installable on Linux, Mac OS X and Windows

    Sublime Text 3 is still a beta, the latest version available being Sublime Text 3 Build 3117.

    1. Open a terminal window.
    2. Type in the following commands then hit Enter after each.

    sudo add-apt-repository ppa:webupd8team/sublime-text-3
    sudo apt-get update
    sudo apt-get install sublime-text-installer
